Flowers!

On a lighter note I would like to include some pictures of the plants and flowers that are showing up everywhere for Tet.  Tet affects everything and everyone in Vietnam.  Whatever religion people are, Buddhist, Catholic, or Hindu, they revere and honor the ancestors.  It is called ancestor worship however I see it as honoring the roots of the people, the elders, the grandparents.  Fro what I hear people say I think that is fairly accurate.

The last shot was taken from the roof.  as you can see the flowers are everywhere.  And for the last shot apparently I can't go anywhere.....

By the way, I didn't get a picture of it but in Hoi An parked in the middle of a bunch of little motorbikes, just as big as you please sat a big Harley-Davidson Electraglide.  Yup, can't go anywhere without running into them Hogs.

See ya Later

  1. Is Tet a holiday then? Maybe I missed the info in an earlier blog. I sure wish there was more like that over here honoring the elders and ancestors. Very nice to see the flowers, of course!
