Military Aircraft

Some things never change.  When I was here in 1968/69 I could look around from the flight line and always see some military aircraft airborne...day or night.  Wednesday during lunch I kept hearing jets coming and going and they did not sound like commercial aircraft.  They sounded like military jet fighters.  Finally I went up to the roof and waited.  Sure enough there they were, two of them doing round-e-rounds and touch-n-gos.  Obviously Vietnamese Air Force and probably MIG-25s.  (Actually a bit of research showed them to be MIG-21s.)  Military pilots are always training.  It does not matter which Air Force they fly with training could save their lives someday.....like Scully and the East River landing in NYC.
My point here is that no matter where I go, no matter which Air Force,  they will find me and say hi as only military jets can....thunder in the air....and maybe a little afterburner for just the right touch.  Well thanks guys.
And to the folks back home, remember....next vacation visit beautiful Viet Nam
